The members area shows the current price of every plan and extra before you pay. We don't repeat the figures in our own words, so this page can't drift out of date.
What's free
Joining, building a profile, browsing and receiving interest from other members cost nothing, for as long as you like. That's enough to see who's around and to decide whether Casual Mums suits you. Free accounts show adverts. Have a read of how it works first if you haven't.
What a membership adds
A membership is what lets you have a conversation: you can read and reply to messages, here and with members of the partner sites in the same network. It also unlocks read receipts, seeing who viewed you, likes and full-size photos.
There are weekly and monthly plans and an introductory trial. Which suits you depends on how much time you actually have:
| If your diary looks like... | Worth considering |
|---|---|
| One free weekend coming up, and you want to test the water | The trial or a week, with a reminder set before it renews |
| A few free evenings a month, every other weekend | A monthly plan, reviewed each month |
| Busy term-time, quieter holidays | Pay in the months you'll use it; cancel in between |
A busy term-time month may only have two free evenings in it, so be honest about that before you choose.
Renewal: the bit to diarise
Every plan renews automatically until you cancel, and that includes the trial. Cancelling is done in the members area under Settings > Billing. You keep what you've paid for until the end of the period; the plan just doesn't renew.
If you're only trying it out, set a reminder for the day before the renewal date the moment you pay. That one habit avoids most billing complaints on any subscription site.
Optional extras
You never need these to use the site. They include profile boosts, priority messages, a 24-hour pass, revealing who has liked you, and the ID-verified badge described on our safety page. Each one shows its price before you buy.
Currency
The prices we've seen in the members area are listed in US dollars. If your card is charged in dollars, your bank converts the amount and some cards add a foreign transaction fee, so check your card's terms if a few pence matter.
What your statement shows
The members area shows the billing name for your membership at checkout, before you pay. Check it there: if you share a bank account or a banking app with anyone, including an ex, that is the line they'd see, and it repeats each time the plan renews. Our guide to keeping dating private covers this and the rest of your digital footprint.
Refunds
Refunds are governed by the members-area terms. As of 16 October 2026, they allowed a pro-rata refund only where at least 40% of the paid period was unused. Ask through the members help centre if you think you're due one.
Cancelling or leaving
- Stop paying: log in, go to Settings > Billing, and cancel the membership.
- Keep a note: write down the date you cancelled, and check your next statement for any further charge.
- Remove your profile, if you're leaving: click your avatar, then Settings > Delete Account.
Cancelling stops renewals but leaves your profile visible. Deleting removes it. If you're leaving for good, cancel first, then delete. If you can't get in, log-in help explains what to do.
Questions people ask
Does the trial renew automatically?
Yes. Like every plan, the introductory trial renews into a paid membership unless you cancel it in Settings > Billing before it ends. If you're only trying the site, set a reminder for the day before it renews as soon as you pay. Cancelling stops the renewal; you keep access until the end of the period.
Can I get a refund?
Refunds are set by the members-area terms. As of 16 October 2026 they allowed a pro-rata refund only where at least 40% of the paid period was unused. If you think you're due one, contact the members help centre with the date and amount of the payment, and check the current terms first, as they can change.
Do I have to pay to reply to someone?
Yes. Reading and replying to messages both need a membership. Joining, building a profile, browsing and receiving interest are free, so you can see who's around before you decide. If someone free sends you interest, you'll need a membership to read and answer their messages.
Are prices in pounds or dollars?
The prices we've seen in the members area are listed in US dollars. If your card is charged in dollars, your bank converts the amount, and some cards add a foreign transaction fee. The members area shows the exact price before you pay, so check it there and check your card's terms if a small difference matters.
