This notice covers the Casual Mums website at www.casualmums.com: the guides and pages you're reading now. It was last updated on 17 October 2026.
Your dating account (your profile, photos, messages and payments) is held in the members area at members.casualmums.com and is covered by a separate document, the members-area privacy policy. Please read that one too if you join.
Who we are
This website is run by Ambervine Inc, a Delaware company, 131 Continental Drive, Suite 305, Newark, DE 19713, USA. Ambervine Inc is the data controller for this website. You can contact us through the members help centre.
What this website collects
Very little.
- No cookies. This website sets no cookies of its own.
- No tracking or advertising. It runs no analytics, advertising, social media or tracking scripts.
- Server logs. The site is hosted by Vercel. Like any web server, Vercel's servers record technical details of each request, such as your IP address, browser type and the page requested, to keep the site secure and working. Vercel's own privacy policy explains how it handles that data.
We don't use these logs to build profiles of visitors, and we don't sell or share them for marketing.
If you type your email into a join box
The join boxes on this website don't store anything here. When you enter your email address and continue, it's sent straight to the members area at members.casualmums.com, and from that point it's handled under the members-area privacy policy.
How your profile is shared
This is about the members area rather than this website, but it matters enough to say plainly here. Casual Mums shares one member database with partner sites in the same network. Members who joined through those sites can see your profile and message you, and each profile shows which site its owner joined through. Write your profile with that in mind; our guide to keeping dating private explains how.
The billing name for a membership is shown at checkout in the members area, before you pay.
Why we process data, and the legal basis
We process server-log data because we have a legitimate interest in keeping this website secure, available and free of abuse. We keep it only as long as needed for that purpose, in line with our hosting provider's retention periods.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you have rights over your personal data:
- UK and EU: under the UK GDPR and the EU GDPR you can ask for a copy of your data, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, object to or restrict how it's used, and complain to a regulator.
- United States: several US states give residents rights to know about, access, correct and delete personal data, and to opt out of its sale. We don't sell personal data.
To make a request about this website, contact us through the members help centre. For requests about your account, profile or messages, use the same help centre; they're handled under the members-area policy.
If you're in the UK and unhappy with how we've handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office. In the EU, contact your national data protection authority. In the US, your state attorney general's office handles privacy complaints.
Children
This website is for adults aged 18 and over. We don't knowingly collect any information from anyone younger.
International transfers
Ambervine Inc is based in the United States and our host operates servers in several countries, so technical data from your visit may be processed outside the UK or EU. Where that happens, it's protected by the safeguards our hosting provider describes in its policy.
Changes
If we change how this website handles data, we'll update this page and the date at the top. See also our terms of use, and our safety page for advice on protecting yourself while dating.
