Who Casual Mums is for
Casual Mums is for single mums who want something casual, and for adults who'd like to date them. Casual can mean company, flirting, a regular date or a bit of fun on the weekends the children are elsewhere; it's open to anyone 18 or over who's happy to fit around school runs and cancelled sitters.
We write for the mums. That means taking childcare, privacy and confidence seriously, being straightforward about wanting something casual, and treating the children's privacy and safety as non-negotiable.
What we stand for
Four lines run through every page on this site, and through how we expect members to treat each other.
| Principle | What it means in practice |
|---|---|
| Children come first | Kids stay out of profiles, and casual partners don't meet them |
| Consent, always | A date isn't an agreement to anything else; anyone can change their mind |
| Privacy by default | First names, broad areas, no tagging, no photos that give you away |
| No judgement | Wanting something casual is a choice, not a lesser one |
If you're new, our guide to deciding between casual and serious is a good place to start.
Who runs it
Casual Mums is run by Ambervine Inc, a Delaware company, 131 Continental Drive, Suite 305, Newark, DE 19713, USA. The casualmums.com domain was registered on 5 April 2024. The billing name for memberships is shown at checkout, before you pay.
The dating service itself is provided through the members area at members.casualmums.com, under the members-area terms. This website holds the guides; your account, profile and messages live in the members area.
The partner network
Casual Mums shares one member database with partner sites in the same network. Members who joined through those sites can see your profile and message you, and you can do the same. Each profile shows which site its owner joined through.
We'd rather you knew that before you write your profile than discovered it later; our privacy page explains more.
What we check, and what we don't
Photos are reviewed; what members write about themselves isn't checked. ID checks (a photo ID and a selfie) may be required for some sign-ups, such as through a VPN, and are otherwise an optional paid badge.
We don't describe profiles as checked or verified, because a photo review isn't the same thing. Our safety page explains what that means in practice, and is Casual Mums legit? answers the questions people ask before paying.
How we write our guides
Every guide on this website was written fresh when the site was rebuilt in October 2026, to these rules:
- Useful first. Each guide answers a real question a single parent has, such as how to date around childcare or keep it private, as fully and plainly as we can.
- Primary sources. Every outside fact, from NHS services to fraud reporting and the law, links to the organisation responsible: a government department, the NHS, the police, a regulator, a recognised charity or an official helpline. Sources are listed on each page.
- The right country. Laws, helplines and phone numbers differ between England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland, and we say which part of the UK a fact applies to.
- Dated. Every page shows when it was last updated, and phone numbers and services are rechecked whenever a page is updated.
- No invented people. No made-up members, testimonials, success stories or statistics. Where we give an example, such as a sample message or a dating diary, it's labelled as one.
- No celebrities. We don't write about real people's bodies or love lives.
- Honest about the product. We describe the membership using only what the members area actually does. Prices come from one place and are shown in a table, not retyped in articles.
We don't name individual authors yet. When writers and reviewers are appointed, they'll be named on the pages they work on.
Corrections
If a guide gets something wrong, whether it's a law, a helpline number or a detail about the site, tell us through the members help centre and include the page address. We correct factual errors and update the page date. The contact page has more on what to include, and the facts page has the essentials on one screen.
